Orangeburg - Mrs. Dorothy Fersner Patrick, 94, of 1085 Ellis Ave., Orangeburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Lutheran Church with the Rev. John R. Thompson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Everett R. Price. Burial will take in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lamar Fersner, George Fersner Carson, Bill Carson, J.D. Shirer, Frank Inabinet and Andrew Inabinet. Mrs. Patrick was born in Cameron, a daughter of the late David Melton Fersner and Mattie Stoudenmire Fersner. She was a graduate of East Orange School and attended Orangeburg city schools. She was retired from the Children's Center in Orangeburg. Mrs. Patrick was a member of Orangeburg Lutheran Church and a very active member of the Daisy Wertz Circle, the Altar Guild, and the Kitchen Committee of the church. Survivors include her husband, Wallace B. Patrick, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. David (Doris) Lybrand of Orangeburg and Edisto Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Wallace W. (Patricia) Patrick of Orangeburg; sister, Mrs. Mattie Mae Carson of Fort Motte; three grandchildren, Mrs. Sam (Meg) Erwin of Columbia, Warren Scoville of Orangeburg and Jason Patrick of Spartanburg; three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. At other times, friends may call the residence and the funeral home.
