Note	Confederate Rest, Tier 2, Marker #54 Gilkress, was a member of the 12th Louisiana Regiment, Company D. He was brought to Camp Randall (Madison, WI.)as a P.O.W., in april of 1862. He died of disease, less than a month later, on 5/9/1862.
