William L. Jeter
William Leon Jeter, 61, of 8 Brownwood Drive, died Nov. 8, 1988, after a sudden illness.
He was a senior employee of Pilot Freight Carriers and had been employed by the company for the past 40 years.
He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet Marie Jeter Johnson and Carol Ann Jeter Norris, both of Greenville; two sons, Donnie Leon Jeter of Charleston and William Terry Jeter of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Cohen (Geraldine) Arms of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. John (Eloise) Hawkins of Blue Ridge, and Mrs. Dilroe (Betty) Langley of Taylors; and a brother, Edwin C. Jeter of Greenville.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at The Mackey Mortuary.
The family is at the residence.
